Katie Critelli was an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in BBB (Biological Basis of Behavior) and music performance. Katie worked in the lab from August 2012 to May 2015. In high school, she conducted a 3-year research project on Alzheimer's Disease, and worked with Dr. Laura Dugan at UCSD to engineer a fullerene-based compound that could act as a neuroprotective agent. In her free time, Katie enjoys playing jazz and classical harp, dancing ballet, and practicing transcendental meditation. She is from Darien, Connecticut. Katie graduated in 2015 and went on to work as a research assistant with Kivanc Birsoy at Rockefeller University.
